About therapeutic paints:

On November 27, 2019, the eve of Thanksgiving, Eric Weinbrenner's life  changed. Eric was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disease that affects the  connection between brain and muscle function. Within a year, Eric has almost completely lost his ability to speak, relying on voice banking and communication aids, and  his physical abilities are slowly but noticeably diminishing. Knowing that there was no known cure and  that ALS would eventually inhibit the ability to walk, speak, and ultimately breathe, Eric turned to painting for a diagnosis. The therapeutic nature of the painting distracted Eric's diagnosis and allowed him to focus his energies on the art.

Recognizing the healing power of creativity, Eric and his wife Jen founded Paint for  Cure to bring artists together  to raise funds for families affected by ALS. Paint For A Cure is inspired by  families with ALS  and is dedicated to helping them succeed. The Paint For A Cure program aims to advocate for promising research and treatment to financially support families, build allied communities, build ALS-friendly homes, and improve the quality and dignity of life of ALS patients. Paint For A Cure's mission is to ease the financial burden of ALS on families. For more information, see the Paint For A Cure website. About
