A ranking police official stated Tuesday that more than 26,000 police officers, who had previously refused to be vaccinated against Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), have now changed their minds and agreed to be vaccinated.

As the Administrative Support for COVID-19 Task Force of the Philippine National Police (PNP), he has intensified its information drive to convince all of its personnel to get the government's vaccine against coronavirus.

Lt. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar is the Deputy Chief of Administration and concurrent PNP–ASCOTF commander. He stated that the PNP's aggressive information drive is being conducted through an exclusive application for all PNP personnel.

Eleazar stated that videos and fact sheets about vaccination from the Department of Health (COVID-19 data) are posted regularly to inform both civilian and uniformed personnel about how it works, and the potential dangers of the deadly virus.

"Some of our employees are really hesitant about availing of the COVID-19 vaccination and we attribute this to the flood of information they would see, especially on social media. Eleazar said that vaccination is far more beneficial than the possible risks and claims of danger, as health experts have always stated.

"What we are trying to do is persuade or convince them to get vaccinated. He clarified that they aren't forcing them to get vaccinated, but are trying to explain it all to them.

Eleazar stated that they expect more police officers to use the COVID-19 vaccines because the PNP has increased the information dissemination about the vaccination using other platforms, such as direct talks and discussions with PNP personnel.

Important Notice

Access traffic is increasing due to the simultaneous NATIONWIDE VACINATION and additional module of SELF-ASSESSMENT. The priority given to SWAB TESTING IN CRAME, PRO7, PRO11, and the NATIONWIDE VACCINATION ROLLOUT means that the PNPCODA team has exhausted all resources to adjust to meet all requirements.

We appreciate your patience as we make the necessary adjustments and recommendations to the DPRM/TCDS regarding the use of the SELF–ASSESSMENT.

The daily SELF-ASSESSMENT is available at these times: 12am-6am, noon-3pm, and 8pm-10pm.
